I am a psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience treating patients struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD and related symptoms. My approach is eclectic. It’s my experience that patients do best when our work together is specifically tailored to their unique needs and goals. Understanding what’s underneath current struggles can be an extremely important first step in the process of healing and growing. I believe that how we reach that understanding is a mutual process that must be grounded, always, in compassion and respect for your pace in exploring what it is that has brought you to therapy. My advanced training in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis—as well as more skill-based approaches, such as mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral therapy—allow me to work with you to create a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.
Along with my private practice, I serve as Director of Bereavement Services for New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. In addition to providing individual, family, and group therapy to those who are grieving, I teach and supervise clinicians who work with patients and families devastated by loss and trauma.
