Are you concerned about your child who is:
- always fighting with you, other family members or peers
- never happy
- acting out
- struggling with low self-esteem
- highly spirited
- throwing temper tantrums
- unable to get out of bed
I connect well with children who seem to be carrying an emotional burden well beyond their years. These children may appear sullen, depressed, withdrawn, angry, tough, or combative. Often, they behave in a way that demands negative attention or concern, resulting in exhaustion and frustration for parents and teachers.
Many parents feel bad when their children have emotional struggles that they cannot help. Asking for assistance from a professional is a difficult but important step of showing love and faith in your child, and in supporting their growth and happiness.
Help Your Child Heal:
Children often feel enormous relief just from having a place to talk and express their feelings with an adult outside of their family. In therapy, I create a safe space where kids can express themselves verbally, through play or the arts.
I also help parents better understand their child’s emotional struggle and collaborate around ways to ease their suffering.
I have been meeting, playing and talking with young people and their families for over 10 years. It’s an amazing opportunity to help children find ways to express themselves, giving voice to feelings they weren’t confident they could share.
